Astros Charity Ticket Program

The Houston Astros are deeply grateful to the hundreds of vital nonprofit programs that make our community a stronger, more vibrant place for all of us. As a small token of our appreciation for the outreach and impact these nonprofits have on at-risk children, disadvantaged families, programs serving those with health challenges or special needs, and members of our military and veterans, the Astros are proud to grant complimentary home game tickets to qualifying 501c3 nonprofits within the Astros' home territory. The process to apply for 2014 Astros charity ticket grants is described and the application form is provided below.

Charity Ticket Guidelines:

  • The Astros Charity Ticket Program is open to non-profit groups. Applicants submit the online application and include a copy of the non-profit's 501(c)(3) letter from the IRS or most recent 990 tax return (these tax forms should be publically available, as required by the IRS). If you have trouble uploading a copy of one of these documents, you can email a copy to OR fax it to us at (713) 315-5594. Online application submitted will not be reviewed until we receive this information.
  • Charities may apply for FOUR game listed below.
  • Groups may request a minimum of 10 tickets and a maximum of 100 tickets to each of those FOUR games. Please request only the number of tickets that you are confident your non-profit will use. We do track redemption and have many worthy non-profits on our waiting list, so we want to ensure we can serve as many eligible 501(c)(3) non-profits in our area as possible. Groups that do not take full advantage of their tickets will be unable to participate in the future.
  • Only charities who supply required proof of status are eligible, and due to demand, we are rotating charities to ensure all eligible nonprofits have the chance to enjoy a game.
  • We will do our best to fill your request with your first choice. If your first choice is not available, we will then try to fill your request with your 2nd or 3rd alternate choice. If no alternate choice is provided, we regret we will not be able to award tickets.
  • We will fulfill requests in the order they are received and by availability and ticket locations are limited. Due to the number of requests submitted, we cannot guarantee tickets will be available to all applicants.
  • Due to time constraints, we will be filling requests for soonest game dates first, in the order they were received.
  • Tickets are not available for exchange, resale or other dates. So, we strongly suggest you keep a record of each ticket location and who in your non-profit group was assigned to that seat.
  • Once your non-profit is awarded tickets, we cannot reschedule the selected game date.
  • In the event the tickets are lost, they cannot be replaced.
