Astros Charity Ticket Program

The Houston Astros are deeply grateful to the hundreds of vital nonprofit programs that make Greater Houston a stronger, more vibrant community. As a small token of our appreciation for that outreach and the impact nonprofits in our area have on at-risk children, the elderly, members of our military and veterans, the Astros are proud to provide a limited number of complimentary game tickets to select nonprofits within the Astros' home territory.

Rules:

  • The Astros Charity Ticket Program is open to nonprofit groups in the Greater Houston area who serve at-risk youth, disadvantaged families, elderly or military/veterans. Applicants must email a copy of the nonprofit's 501(c)(3) letter from the IRS or most recent 990 tax return (these tax forms should be publically available, as required by the IRS) to charitytickets@astros.com. Application submitted online will not be reviewed until we receive this information.
  • Charities may apply for ONE game listed below.
  • Groups may request a minimum of 10 tickets and a maximum of 50 tickets to that ONE game. Please request only the number of tickets that you are confident your nonprofit will use. We do track redemption and have many worthy nonprofits on our waiting list, so we want to ensure we can serve as many eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits in our area as possible. Groups that do not take full advantage of their tickets will be unable to participate in the future.
  • 501(c)(3) charities must supply required proof of status are eligible. Due to demand, we are rotating charities to ensure all eligible nonprofits have the chance to enjoy a game.
  • We will do our best to fill your request with your first choice. If your first choice is not available, we will then try to fill your request with your 2nd or 3rd alternate choice. If no alternate choice is provided, we regret we will not be able to award tickets.
  • We will fulfill requests in the order they are received and by availability. Tickets and locations are limited, so sending in an application is not a guarantee that your group will receive free tickets.
  • Due to time constraints, we will be filling requests for April, May and June games first.
  • Tickets are not available for exchange, resale or other dates. So, we strongly suggest you keep a record of each ticket location and who in your nonprofit group was assigned to that seat.
  • Once your nonprofit is awarded tickets, we cannot reschedule the selected game date.
  • In the event the tickets are lost, they cannot be replaced.
  • Applications without appropriate 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter or most recent 990 tax form will not be eligible.
