This year's Houston Astros Race for the Pennant is presented by the The Methodist Hospital in partnership with the JLH Foundation and endorsed by the Chevron Houston Marathon, United Airlines, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hilton Americas Hotel, Sysco Houston Inc. and www.yoursportingimage.com.

Pets, roller blades, skates, strollers, bicycles, baby joggers, and any other related wheeled devices will be prohibited.
The post race party will begin immediately following the race and feature great food, drinks and live entertainment. Special guests will include Hall of Fame Broadcaster and Voice of the Houston Astros, Milo Hamilton, Astros mascot Junction Jack and his friends along with the Coca-Cola Park Patrol. An awards presentation will also be held during the post race party along with great door prizes. You must be present to win.
Race scoring will be done using the D-Tag (Disposable Tag). You will not be an official finisher if you do not wear the tag on your shoe. You will pick up your tag at packet pickup.
Free parking will be available in Houston Astros lots A, B & C located off of Preston Street on the east side of Minute Maid Park. Paid parking is available in lots surrounding the ballpark.
Starting Line:Minute Maid Park (Crawford St. @ Texas Ave.)
Finish Line: Minute Maid Park
The course begins at Minute Maid Park in front of Union Station on Crawford St. and proceeds along the west side of the ballpark toward the Elysian Viaduct. The race turns at the end of the Elysian Viaduct and then heads back into town on La Branch St. The course turns left on Congress St. past Chenevert St. before finishing inside of beautiful Minute Maid Park.
