Fan voting in the Minute Maid Park 10th Season Bracket challenge ended on Sunday, July 19th and the top moment in Minute Maid Park history as voted by the fans was Craig Biggio's 3,000th career hit.
Join the Astros at the Monday, August 3rd game against the Giants as the Astros celebrate this historic moment. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Biggio 3,000th career hit DVD with the televised game broadcast from June 28, 2007 compliments of the Astros and FS Houston. Fans should plan to arrive early for a special pregame celebration and presentation to Craig Biggio.

Brad Ausmus' hits a home run off of Atlanta Braves pitcher Mike Hampton, in his final game as a member of the Houston Astros. Ausmus received a resounding ovation from the fans and Ausmus responded with a curtain call. This home run was a fitting way to close his career.

Craig Biggio records his 3,000th hit off of Aaron Cook and the Colorado Rockies on June 28, 2007. He is the only player in Astros history to reach the 3,000-hit plateau while wearing an Astros uniform and is one of only nine players to reach the mark while playing his entire career with the same team.

Lance Berkman puts on a show with one of his 21 home runs during the 2004 Home Run Derby. Baltimore's Miguel Tejada edges out Berkman 5-4 in the final round to capture the title. The two combine for 48 home runs during the contest, including 25 in the second round.

On October 2, 2005, Eric Bruntlett made the final out as the Astros won their second straight NL Wild Card title with a 6-4 victory in a must-win game over the Chicago Cubs before a sellout crowd of 42,288.

Bagwell's Game Winning Hit to Remember Kile
Earlier in the day, on June 22, 2002, former Astros pitcher and long-time friend of the team, Darryl Kile passed away. This pinch-hit at bat was one of the most difficult and emotional for Bagwell as he hit the game-winning single in memory of his friend and long-time teammate.

With the Astros down five runs in the 8th inning of the NLDS game against the Atlanta Braves, Lance Berkman hit a grand slam that brought the Astros within one run. The home run was an opposite field shot into the Crawford Boxes. The Astros went on to win the game 7-6 in the 18th inning.

First World Series Game in Texas
The Astros host the first World Series game in the state of Texas on October 25, 2005, against the visiting Chicago White Sox. Craig Biggio recorded the first hit for the Astros in the game. The contest turns out to be the longest game in World Series history as it lasts five hours and 41 minutes in 14 innings.

One of the greatest players to ever wear an Astros uniform, Craig Biggio's No. 7 was retired on August 17, 2008. The ceremony consisted of a tribute video and many guest speakers. Biggio, who played his entire career with the Astros, retired as the Astros leader in hits and doubles.

With the Astros down by only one run after a heroic six -run comeback, Brad Ausmus stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the 9th and smashed a game-tying home run to deep left-center field. Ausmus extended the game that would eventually be won by Chris Burke's 18th inning home run.

In Craig Biggio's final game as a Houston Astro, he began the celebration early with a line-drive double to left field. After his last at-bat, he was given a standing ovation to celebrate his 20 seasons with the club. After the game he took one final lap at Minute Maid Park to thank the fans of Houston.

On March 30, 2000, Minute Maid Park's gates open for the first time as the Astros hosted the New York Yankees in an exhibition game.

With Houston needing one more win, Brad Lidge came into the game in the top of the 9th and secured the Astros first National League Wild Card, completing the team's unprecedented 36-10 run after August 15th to finish the 2004 season with a 92-70 record.

Chris Burke hits an 18th inning walk-off home run against Atlanta in Game 4 of the 2005 NLDS. The win gives the Astros their second consecutive trip to the National League Championship Series. The home run ends the longest game in postseason history at five hours and 50 minutes.

Jeff Bagwell salutes the fans after a memorable Opening Day introduction on April 3, 2006. He entered the season with hopes of playing, but his arthritic right shoulder cut his career one year too short. This is his final introduction as a uniformed player in the organization.

The Astros host their first All-Star Game at Minute Maid Park on July 13, 2004. It marks the third All-Star Game overall in Houston and the first since 1986 in the Astrodome. The Astros are well represented in the Midsummer Classic with four players participating in the action.
