Brad Ausmus is leaving the Astros after 10 seasons.
On Sunday, September 28th, the Houston Astros will honor catcher, Brad Ausmus who has been an integral part of the organization and an Astros fan favorite wrapping up ten seasons with the club. This three-time Rawlings Gold Glove catcher was part of the 2005 National League Championship team along with the 1997, 1998 and 2001 National League Central Division Championship teams and 2004 National League Divisions Series-winning club. He is well-respected around the league for his intellect and knowledge of the game and is considered by many as one of the active players with the best prospect to be future Major League manager.
As Ausmus finishes his time with the club, the Astros will honor Brad with a special pregame ceremony this Sunday beginning at 12:50 p.m. prior to the Astros vs. Braves game.
