The Astros are proud to be a leader in the efforts to help preserve the environment. In 2008, we launched the Play GreenĀ® campaign and we continue to lead the way in Earth-friendly initiatives in the greening of sports movement.
Preserve the Environment by Eliminating Junk Mail
On average, American households receive approximately 69 pounds of unwanted mail each year. By putting an end to the junk mail you receive, you will be saving more than trees: you'll be saving water, fuel, energy and other resources used in producing and mailing unwanted junk.
Through the Direct Marketing Association, you can choose their opt-out service, and you will be removed from over 3,600 company mailing lists. It can be done online for free or through the mail for $1.
According to the Consumer Research Institute, we spend eight months of our life opening junk mail; that's more than an hour a week for 70 years!
The Minute Maid Park Box Office is now open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., M-F for College Classic tickets only. Individual tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale later this month.
