Senior Vice President, Ticket Sales & Strategy

Jason Howard enters his fourth season with the Houston Astros in 2015. In his position as Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales and Strategy, Jason oversees all ticket sales, service, and operations efforts as well as the business strategy and analytics departments for the club.

Driven by the organization's vision to better serve Season Ticket Holders and grow the fan base, Jason has led an expansion that tripled the number of relationship-based ticket sales and service representatives since his arrival as Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services just after Opening Day in 2012. Additionally, Jason helped implement the organization's increase in fan surveys, panels, and other feedback channels to ensure better communication, perspective, and relationships between the fan base and the club. These efforts have shown early returns as the 2013 season represented the first year-over-year growth in Season Ticket base and total attendance since the 2006-2007 seasons following the Astros' World Series appearance.

Jason joined the Astros from the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he most recently served as the organization's Vice President of Business Development from 2010-12. In that position, Jason was responsible for creating, teaching, improving and managing revenue generating tactics across the Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Community Affairs, Baseball Outreach and Spring Training departments while continuing to oversee the club's Season Ticket and Inside Sales efforts. Prior to his stint as Vice President with the D-backs, Howard was the Director of Season Ticket and Inside Sales over three seasons as part of the leadership team that oversaw an organization record in new Season Ticket revenue in 2008. In addition, more than 80 percent of the Inside Sales representatives he managed over that period were developed into senior sales and service positions throughout the professional sports industry.

Jason began his career in Indianapolis with Pacers Sports & Entertainment (2004-07), where he got his start in the industry as an Inside Sales representative before being promoted to Season Ticket Account Executive and eventually Manager of Inside Sales for the NBA's Indiana Pacers.

Jason is a 2004 graduate from Cedarville University in Ohio, where he majored in sport management. He and his wife, Mandi, reside in Spring with their daughter, Braelyn, and son, Braxton.
