Astros 45th Anniversary Celebration and Turn Back the Clock Night

This Saturday, April 10th, the Astros and Phillies will take the field at 6:05 p.m. almost 45 years to the day when the same two teams played the first regular season game in the Astrodome in 1965. To commemorate the occasion the Astros are taking you back to 1965 with Turn Back the Clock Night!

Both teams will wear 1965 uniforms on Saturday and after the game, the Astros and Phillies game-worn uniform packages will be on sale through the Astros Authentics program.

Astros Replica Jersey

The first 10,000 fans will also receive a 1965 replica Astros jersey courtesy of AT&T!

Several members of the 1965 Astros will be in attendance for this special event including:

  • Bob Aspromonte
  • Ronald Brand
  • Bob Bruce
  • Danny Coombs
  • Larry Dierker
  • Claude Raymond
  • Mike White
  • Jimmy Wynn
  • Former Astros radio broadcaster Gene Elston

The former players will be signing autographs on the main concourse behind home plate from 4:45-5:15pm and at 5:30 pm there will be a special pregame ceremony honoring the 1965 Astros.

  • 1,965 tickets in the View Deck II and Outfield Deck for only $3.50

  • Our Park Patrol and Grounds Crew will wear the "Spacette" and "Spaceman" suits worn by ushers and the Grounds Crew during the '65 season
