The Alex Gordon Classic youth baseball tournament to benefit the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, presented by Midwest Sports Productions, took place May 1-3, 2015, with over 120 teams across the Midwest who played and raised more than $34,000 to battle childhood cancer. Gordon appeared to address the participants sharing his passion both youth baseball and battling cancer. The top fundraising teams were invited to watch batting practice, participate in pregame activities with Gordon prior to enjoying the Tigers vs. Royals game.
Jamie Gordon, wife of outfielder Alex Gordon, led the Royals Wives and their children in selling lemonade to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in the Outfield Experience at Kauffman Stadium. In addition, Royals Wives sold mystery bags featuring a baseball autographed by a Royals player.
For every freshly squeezed lemonade sold at Kauffman Stadium, Aramark and Royals Charities will make a donation to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Visit the fresh squeezed lemonade stands throughout the stadium and support childhood cancer research.

Over the years, Gordon has joined children battling cancer to record public service announcements to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Sadly, some of the children featured in the video have lost their battle with cancer. However, their memory has fueled the passion to continue on to find a cure!
In additional efforts to fund childhood cancer research, Gordon also serves as a Team Jack All-Star by lending his support through a special t-shirt. The organization was started by the family of fellow Nebraska native Jack Hoffman to raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer.
