TAMPA, Fla. -- Carlos Pena will receive the Roger Maris Award on Saturday at the Major League Alumni Baseball for Kids Dinner at the Ala Carte Pavillon in Tampa, Fla. The award is given to the player who best typifies the former Yankees slugger. The award will be presented by Maris' son, Kevin. Pena, signed as a Minor League free agent in January 2007, was named the American League Comeback Player of the Year by Major League Baseball and The Sporting News.
