In the sixth inning of the Cubs' game against the Astros, Houston's Hunter Pence lined a ball off the ivy-covered center-field wall. Pence's ball and center fielder Jim Edmonds both hit the wall, and the ball caromed off and dropped to the ground. But another ball magically appeared out of the thick green leaves.
Edmonds threw the game ball back, but by that time, Pence was at third with a triple. Edmonds then picked up the extra ball and tossed it into the stands for a lucky bleacher fan.
The additional ball most likely got stuck in the ivy during batting practice.
