Mets call up Reyes, designate Switzer
Infielder played well for Buffalo; lefty had struggled in Majors
The Mets on Wednesday announced that they have selected the contract of infielder Argenis Reyes from Triple-A Buffalo and designated left-handed pitcher Jon Switzer for assignment.
Reyes, who played in 49 games for the Mets last year, hitting .218, was batting .296 with 19 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, one home run, 13 RBIs and nine stolen bases in 45 games with Buffalo this year.
Switzer appeared in four games with the Mets, tossing 3 1/3 innings and surrendering four hits and three runs.
