Dodgers to disable Wade, recall DeWitt
Reliever sidelined with shoulder strain
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are putting reliever Cory Wade on the disabled list because of a shoulder strain and are bringing Blake DeWitt up from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace Wade on the 25-man roster.
This marks the second time this season that Wade has been put on the DL because of a shoulder injury. On April 18, Wade was put on the DL (retroactive to April 12) with right shoulder bursitis. Wade missed 16 games.
Wade has appeared in 27 games for the Dodgers in 2009, going 2-3 with a 5.53 ERA.
DeWitt has played in 16 games this season, hitting .174 with one home run in 23 at-bats.
