Astros announce Spring Training games

Club opens Grapefruit League slate vs. Tigers on March 5

HOUSTON -- The Astros on Friday unveiled their 28-game 2010 Spring Training schedule, which begins March 5 against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Fla. The club will play its home games at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, Fla., for the 26th consecutive year.

After opening Grapefruit League play against the Tigers, Houston will have its spring home opener March 6 against Atlanta in the first of four March games against the Braves. Start times for all spring games will be announced at a later date.

The home schedule also features games against the defending National League Central division champion St. Louis Cardinals (March 22), the New York Yankees (March 20) and the defending NL champion Philadelphia Phillies (March 30).

Other home games include the Washington Nationals (March 13, 17), Toronto Blue Jays (March 8, 19), Florida Marlins (March 10), New York Mets (March 21), Pittsburgh Pirates (March 26) and Tampa Bay Rays (March 27). The home finale is April 1 against Detroit.

Individual game tickets for Astros Spring Training games in Florida go on sale at 10 a.m. ET. on Jan. 23 and can be purchased in several ways: online at www.astros.com; at the Osceola County Stadium box office (home games only) or by telephone and in person at Florida Ticketmaster outlets (home and road games).

The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET and on all game days. Osceola County Stadium ticket prices remain $22 for dugout box seats, $20 for outfield box seats, $18 for upper-reserved seats and $15 for outfield-reserved seats. Tickets for the Cardinals, Yankees are Phillies are $3 more.

Season tickets may be purchased now by calling 321-697-3201. Season ticket prices for all games are $308 for dugout box seats, $280 for outfield box seats, $252 for upper-reserved seats and $210 for outfield-reserved seats.

Fans also have the option of purchasing the "Bagwell Weekend Plan," which includes tickets to all six Saturday and Sunday home games for $108. All season ticket plans include free parking.  Credit card purchases can be made by calling Florida Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000.

The Astros will return home to Minute Maid Park to play a pair of exhibition games on April 2 and 3 (opponent TBA). The Astros open the 2010 regular season at home on Monday, April 5, at 6:05 p.m. against the San Francisco Giants.
