Over 40 former Astros to attend Saturday's Legends Luncheon at Minute Maid Park
Event Is Part Of Legends Weekend To Wrap Up 50th Anniversary Celebration; Fans Can Purchase Tickets To Be Part Of This Historic Gathering
HOUSTON, TX - Many of the top former players in Astros history will return to Minute Maid Park on Saturday, September 22 for the Astros Legends Luncheon, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Station lobby. The luncheon is part of Astros Legends Weekend as the club culminates its celebration of the 50th anniversary, which is presented by the Methodist Hospital System.
The luncheon, which will be hosted by Hall of Fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton, is open to the public. Individual tickets are $75.00 and can be purchased online at www.astros.com/flashback. The deadline to purchase tickets is noon on Friday, September 21.
Over 40 former Astros players and coaches, including several that were named to the club’s All-Time 25-Man Roster last week, are scheduled to attend the luncheon and participate in the on-field ceremony prior to the game. The list of Astros alumni includes:

The program for the luncheon will include a Q&A session with attending members of the All-Time 25-man roster, a special video presentation commemorating the history of the Astros and a tribute to Astros legends that have passed away. Raffle tickets for autographed memorabilia will be available for purchase at registration. Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Astros In Action Foundation.
LEGENDS WEEKEND
Friday
*Craig Biggio, who will be on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time this year, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
*10,000 fans attending will receive the popular and original Colt .45s replica jersey, that includes the revolver, presented by Landry’s, and a 50th anniversary canvas art piece, presented by The Methodist Hospital System.
*Astros players will wear the original Colt .45s jersey for the 7:05 p.m. game.
Saturday
*Astros Legends Luncheon, 11:00 a.m., Union Station lobby.
*Special pre-game ceremony celebrating former Astros players in attendance for Legends weekend.
*10,000 fans attending will receive a replica shooting star jersey, which debuted in 1965 when the Astrodome was opened (presented by Xfinity.
*Astros players will wear the shooting star uniforms for the 6:05 p.m. game vs. the Pirates.
Sunday
*Astros players will wear the rainbow jerseys that were worn in the 1970s for the 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Pirates.
*10,000 fans attending will receive a replica rainbow jersey, presented by Farmers Insurance.
