Hughes began the season on D.L. with a left latissimus muscle strain and made four rehab appearances with Indianapolis (6.0ip/7h/5e/5er/3bb/5so).
Pirates extend contracts of coaching staff
The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the extensions of the entire coaching staff through the 2017 season. The announcement was made by Pirates Executive Vice President, General Manager Neal Huntington.

The Bucs return home from a 10-game west coast road trip that took the team to San Diego, Phoenix, and Denver. The Pirates return to PNC Park for a six-game homestand and will play host to National League Central rivals the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs.

The Pirates today recalled infielder Jason Rogers from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned infielder Cole Figueroa to their Triple-A affiliate.
Pirates announce return of "No Fees" promotion
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today the return of the popular "No Fees" promotion for 2016. Starting today, April 19, and taking place through Sunday, April 24, the team will pay all service fees charged to fans for tickets purchased during this time for any home games from now to the end of May 2016.

The Bucs return home from a five-game road trip that took the team to Cincinnati for a three-game weekend series with the Reds and to Detroit for the first half of a four-game home-and-home series with the Tigers. The Pirates return to PNC Park for a five-game homestand and will play host to the Tigers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Pirates Sign Polanco to Contract Extension
The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the club has signed outfielder Gregory Polanco to a five-year contract extension (beginning in 2017) with club options for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
