  • Angels return home Friday to begin 10-game home stand

    The Angels return home for a 10-game home stand beginning with a three-game series against the New York Yankees tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. The sixth home stand of the season includes a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners (Monday, June 17 – Thursday, June 20) and concludes Sunday, June 23 after a three-game set against the Pittsburgh Pirates (Friday, June 21 – Sunday, June 23). Below is a look at the promotions, giveaways and notable festivities/ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium during the home stand.

  • Angels' finalists named for MLB and 'People' magazine's "Tribute for Heroes"

    Major League Baseball and 'PEOPLE' magazine today announced the 90 finalists, three per MLB Club, for the "Tribute for Heroes" campaign, a national initiative that recognizes veterans and military service members and builds upon MLB and 'PEOPLE' magazine's commitment to honoring our country's heroes.

  • Angels select eight players on day 2

    ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels selected eight players during rounds 3-10 today of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, as announced by Angels' Director of Scouting Ric Wilson.

  • Angels announce 2013 Opening Day roster

    Angels' General Manager Jerry Dipoto today announced the club's Opening Day roster for the 2013 campaign. The following transactions have been made to set the roster at 25 active players.

  • ANGELS PLACE JERED WEAVER ON 15-DAY D.L.; ADD RHP DANE DE LA ROSA TO ROSTER

    ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels Tuesday announced right-hander Jered Weaver, removed from Sunday's game with an initial diagnosis of a strained left elbow, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left non displaced radial head fracture (elbow). Weaver's D.L. placement is retroactive to April 8. It is anticipated he will miss at least four weeks. At the same time, the club announced RHP Dane De La Rosa is being selected to the roster from Triple-A Salt Lake, and transferred LHP Andrew Taylor from the 15-day DL to the 60-day list (left shoulder labrum tear). Today's transactions were announced by General Manager Jerry Dipoto.

  • Angels trade outfielder Vernon Wells to Yankees

    The Angels Tuesday traded outfielder Vernon Wells to the New York Yankees in exchange for outfielder Exicardo Cayones, LHP Kramer Sneed and cash considerations. Today's transaction was announced by General Manager Jerry Dipoto.
