The two teams are currently tied for the top spot in the division, and both have been off to hot starts in 2017. After taking the four-game Opening Series from the Seattle Mariners at home, 3-1, the Astros traveled to Seattle and won their first road series against the Mariners, 2-1. Both the Astros and Angels have made short work of their divisional opponents, going 5-2 and 6-4, respectively.

    Following tonight's game against the Seattle Mariners, the first-place Astros take on the Kansas City Royals for three games this weekend, April 7-9.     The Houston Astros have set their preliminary 2017 minor league rosters for four of their affiliates: Triple A Fresno, Double A Corpus Christi, Class A Advanced Buies Creek and Class A Quad Cities. The announcement was made by Astros Assistant General Manager, Scouting and Player Development Mike Elias. The four clubs will begin regular season play on Thursday, April 6.

  • Astros to Host Center Field Grand Opening Event on Wednesday, March 29

    On Wednesday, March 29, the Astros will unveil their brand-new, renovated center field to members of the media and select fans. The Center Field Grand Opening event, which begins at 3:00 p.m., will feature a walking tour of all of the new center field concourse and seating areas as well as tastings from Torchy's Tacos, Shake Shack and Aramark, the official food and beverage partner of the Houston Astros.

    The Houston Astros and corporate partner Lexus announced the naming rights of the brand-new Lexus Field Club in the renovated center field of Minute Maid Park. Seats in the Lexus Field Club are available for purchase now for the 2017 Astros regular season, which begins on Opening Day, April 3.

    HOUSTON, TX - Astros right-handed pitcher Will Harris will be the guest on Astroline tomorrow night, March 22, at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) at Duffy's Sports Grill of Clematis, located at 225 N Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Astros play-by-play commentator Robert Ford will serve as the host. This will be the final Astroline show this offseason.
