The A's also optioned catcher/outfielder Matt McBride to Nashville and placed right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right elbow. To clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Manaea, the A's transferred outfielder Sam Fuld to the 60-day disabled list.

    The Oakland A's selected catcher/outfielder Matt McBride from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs to Nashville, the club announced today. To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the A's transferred left-handed pitcher Felix Doubront to the 60-day disabled list.

    The Oakland A's placed third baseman Danny Valencia on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 21 with a strained left hamstring, the club announced today. To take his spot on the roster, the A's recalled infielder Tyler Ladendorf from Triple-A Nashville.
