Houston Astros release 2007 promotional schedule
Bagwell figurine, Oswalt bulldozer bobblehead, and Friday night fireworks highlight list of promotions

HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros released the promotional schedule for the 2007 season today. The schedule includes items such as the Jeff Bagwell figurine on April 6, when the Astros will honor Bagwell with a tribute to his accomplishments and career with the club. Other new items for the upcoming season include MP3 player/cell phone cases on May 11 and a new collectible series called Hobby Bobbles, featuring the hobbies of selected Astros players on bobblehead dolls. The set includes a bobble of Roy Oswalt (promotion on July 28) on the bulldozer given to him by Drayton McLane after being named the 2005 NLCS MVP. Another bobble to be given away features Astros catcher Brad Ausmus catching a wave on his surfboard (promotion on June 16). Carlos Lee's ranching bobble will be given away to the first 10,000 fans on Sept. 15.

The Astros will continue their Friday Night Fireworks presented by Marathon Oil Corporation this season after each Friday game. Six unique themed Friday night festivities include College Night on May 11, Wild West Night on May 18, 70's Night on June 15, Superhero Night on June 29, Christmas in July Night on July 27, and 80's Night on Aug. 24. There will also be a patriotic fireworks show on Tuesday, July 3, in celebration of our nation's independence. Special $1 hot dog nights will be held on May 30, July 4 and Aug. 23.

Throughout the season, the team will feature a variety of special events and promotions. In celebration of Easter on April 8, the Astros will give away Junction Jack plush dolls. During the Lone Star Series with the Texas Rangers (May 18-20), the team will pay tribute to our men and women in the military as Saturday, May 19, will be recognized as Armed Forces Day. Promotional items during the series will include straw cowboy hats (Wild West Night), camouflage caps (Armed Forces Day), and Lone Star Series T-shirts.

In addition to the promotional items and theme nights, the Astros will also offer Coca-Cola Value Nights and Double Play Tuesdays. Coca-Cola Value Nights take place at every Friday home game. On those days, fans can present one (1) coupon from a specially marked 24-pack of Coca-Cola Classic or Diet Coke at the Texas Avenue Box Office at Minute Maid Park or enter a special code online and pay $60 for the Value Nights pack (includes four (4) Mezzanine level tickets, four (4) hot dogs, four (4) Coca-Cola beverages, and two (2) Astros caps).

Double Play Tuesdays begin on April 3 (vs. PIT). Fans can present two (2) labels from two (2) specially marked 32-oz. bottles of Powerade product at the Texas Avenue Box Office and get two (2) Outfield Deck admission tickets to any regular season Tuesday home game for only $2. The Double Play Tuesday offer is valid for any Astros Tuesday home game throughout the regular season.
