Astros set free agent tryout camps
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros will conduct three open tryout camps for prospective professional baseball players in 2007. The currently scheduled camps will be held as follows:

Sunday, June 10, 2007
The Woodlands High School
McCullough Campus
3800 South Panther Creek
The Woodlands, Texas
Registration: 12:30 p.m.
Tryout Begins: 1:00 p.m.

Monday, June 11, 2007
Angelina College
3500 South First Street
Lufkin, Texas
Registration: 8:30 a.m.
Tryout Begins: 9:00 a.m.

Monday, June 25, 2007
Applebee's Park -- Home of the Lexington Legends
207 Legends Lane
Lexington, Kentucky
Registration: 8:30 a.m.
Tryout Begins: 9:00 a.m.

Participants must be at least 16 years of age. No players selected by a Major League team other than the Houston Astros in the 2007 June Free Agent Draft will be eligible to participate in the tryout camps. American Legion players are required to have a letter from their coach or post commander granting permission to attend the tryout camps.

Players must provide their own uniforms, gloves, and shoes. Bats, balls and catching equipment will be furnished by the Houston Astros. No dressing areas will be available, and players should arrive in uniform and ready to begin the tryout. The club will not be responsible for any lost valuables or personal belongings of the participants.
