Three reassigned to Minor League camp
Non-roster invitees Banks, Corcoran and Esposito cut
By Brian McTaggart / MLB.com
Houston has 41 players remaining in camp.
Esposito, who was in his second camp with the Astros, appeared in seven games and had one hit in seven at-bats. Banks pitched six innings in three games, including one start, and Corcoran threw 5 1/3 innings in five games.
Esposito, 31, has played 10 Minor League seasons with six different organizations and drew praise from the pitchers in Astros camp about the way he caught. He's appeared in one Major League game in his career, with the Cardinals in 2007, but didn't get an at-bat.
Banks, 27, has appeared in 26 Major League games, including eight starts, with the Blue Jays and Padres, with whom he was 1-1 with a 7.15 ERA last year. Corcoran, 29, began last season on the Mariners' Opening Day roster and made eight appearances with Seattle before getting injured and signing with the Astros in August. He appeared in 13 games at Triple-A Round Rock last year.
