Astros' physician to examine Arias' shoulder
By Brian McTaggart / MLB.com
"He's still a little on the stiff and sore side, and we kind of want the doctor to take a look at him," manager Brad Mills said.
Arias, 27, missed all of last season after undergoing right shoulder surgery on April 22 in Houston. He appeared in 42 games for the Astros in 2009 and went 2-1 with a 3.35 ERA, stranding 17 of the 19 runners he inherited.
The Astros claimed Arias off waivers from the Rockies on July 31, 2008, and he pitched in three games for Houston that September.
