Lee sore, but back with Astros on the road

CINCINNATI -- Astros left fielder Carlos Lee rejoined the team on the road Monday evening, but his availability for the series against the Reds remains up in the air.

Lee spent the night in a Houston hospital after injuring his left rib cage in a collision with teammate Angel Sanchez in the seventh inning of Sunday's win over the Brewers. Lee, who went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, underwent an X-ray and a CT scan, both of which were normal. He is considered day to day.

"He's still stiff and sore, but obviously we're glad to hear the CT scan was negative and the X-rays were negative," Astros manager Brad Mills said. "We'll check him out and see how he is and go from there."

Mills had Jason Bourgeois in the lineup in left field for Monday's series opener against the Reds, which was postponed because of rain. The teams will make the game up Thursday at 11:35 a.m. CT at Great American Ball Park.
