Astros unveil schedule for 2013 Spring Training

The Astros released their 2013 Spring Training schedule Thursday, with the club's spring opener coming Feb. 23 against the Phillies in Clearwater, Fla.

Houston's home opener is on Feb. 24 in Kissimmee, Fla. The Astros, who are moving to the American League West next season, have 16 home games, nine of which are on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. All times have yet to be announced.

Ticket information will be released at a later date.

Ten of the Astros' 16 home games are against teams that made the 2012 playoffs, including the reigning AL champion Tigers (Feb. 26, March 28), Yankees (Feb. 28), Cardinals (Feb. 25, March 1 and March 22) and the Braves (March 2 and March 8). The Astros and new manager Bo Porter also face Porter's former team, the Nationals, on March 7 and March 25.
