Astros prospect Santana goes 4-for-4

No. 3 prospect drives in pair in third four-hit game for Triple-A Oklahoma City

Outfielder Domingo Santana, the Astros' No. 3 prospect, collected four hits and drove in two runs Tuesday, helping Triple-A Oklahoma City to a 7-3 victory at Round Rock.

Santana, ranked No. 56 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, went 4-for-4 with a run, a walk and two RBIs. It was his third four-hit game of the season.

The RedHawks combined to pound out 17 hits -- 16 of which were singles. Outfielder Preston Tucker, the Astros' No. 19 prospect, recorded the lone extra-base hit when he doubled in the second inning. Hitting behind Santana, Tucker went 1-for-5 with an RBI.

Santana began his night with a walk in the second inning. He then singled in his next four plate appearances.

Santana won't turn 22 until next Tuesday, making him the fourth-youngest position player in the Pacific Coast League. But he has more than held his own against the older competition, hitting .290/.371/.463 with 13 home runs in 100 games. He also made his Major League debut earlier this month and went hitless in four games before returning to Oklahoma City.
