Pirates 7, Astros 4
Eric Hinske retires Michael Bourn after fielding Bourn's bunt attempt. (AP)
The Pirates jumped on the Astros early and never looked back. They sent eight to the plate in the first for three runs, and added two runs each in the fifth and eighth innings. The offense went a long way to support Jeff Karstens, who put up his longest outing of the season.
