After posting a rally to tie in the eighth and again in the ninth -- when they were a strike away from losing -- Japan won the Round 2 opener thanks to Sho Nakata's sac fly in the 10th. Chinese Taipei starter Chien-Ming Wang extended his Classic scoreless streak to 12 innings with six shutout frames in the losing effort.
